Physics Summer School in ItalyClemson University announces its 2nd Annual Physics Summer School for Undergraduates. May 21 – June 15, 2007Introduction to Theoretical and Experimental Surface Physics will provide students with unmatched training in preparation for graduate school while immersing them in the rich international venue of Italy's Veneto. The program offers two parallel and coordinated courses (one in theory and the other in experiment) in the exciting field of surface physics: PHYS 481 and PHYS 482 (PDF format, requires Acrobat Reader). Students will receive three weeks of classroom instruction in picturesque Paderno del Grappo, 25 miles North of Venice. The course also features one week of hands-on experimental training at the Surface Physics Laboratory of Elettra in Trieste.
