• Gilbert's Icon Archive (one of my favorite collections; this guy has a nice sense of design)

• Planetary GIF Images (Go to this NASA collection to get pictures of comets, planets, novae etc.)

• Pardon my Icons (Hilarious Collection of small images of faces from celebrities to cartoon characters)

• The Icon Depot (good collection of small images, including some animations)

• The Icon Bazaar (Convenient collection except the Java frequently jams)

• ABC Graphics (Huge collection including backgrounds and fonts as well as al kinds of buttons)

• The Iconolog (Particularly nice collection of Animated GIF's, orgnaized by subject)
