The Dragon Knight series begins with a man who gets sucked into a new society--one in which he thinks he will obviously a knight, just like his namesake, St. George the dragon-slayer. However, the tables are certainly turned on this would-be knight when he finds himself a dragon instead, complete with wings and fire-breath. The series recounts his adventures in his new land as he struggles to win acceptance for his new identity--and falls into several adventures along the way.
