Devin Loves Theodore Sturgeon

Come on in and check out some of my favorite Sturgeon (not the fish). You could carbon date that joke.

Take me to English 356 and get me some coffee!!!!!

Okay, I am taking the coolest class I've ever been involved in here at Clemson. One of the requirements of the course was to make a web page concerning your favorite science fiction author. So I chose Theodore Sturgeon because "Microcosmic God" blew my mind. I mean it literally blew it up. Kaput. Done. I get lost walking home every day and I forgot what cereal I like to eat.

So here is a list of some works I have read but most are a wish list of sort. There is so much I haven't read and I want to be as well read as I can get.

I believe it was Emile Faber who once said,

"Knowledge is Good".

    The T.V. Shows

Sturgeon wrote the Star Trek episodes Shore Leave (Alice in Wonderland, Knights, etc.) and Amok Time. Amok time is the stellar episode that brought us "Live Long and Prosper" and the Vulcan modified "V" or whatever the heck it was that Spock did.

I've also heard that he wrote some for the Krofft "Land of the Lost" series from the 70's. That utterly floored me!

    The Novels

    1. E Pluribus Unicorn 1953
    2. The Cosmic Rape 1958
    3. A Touch of Strange 1959
    4. Venus Plus X 1960
    5. Some of Your Blood 1960
    6. Sturgeon In Orbit 1964
    7. Starshine 1966
