ENGL 860: Hall of Fame/Shame Sites for 2002
Background:
Before each class period over the course of the semester,
students send an email message to the class email list (0201ENGL__860001-L @CLEMSON.EDU)
nominating one website for the class "Hall of Fame" and another website
for the class "Hall of Shame." Hall of Fame sites should serve as
models of excellence, and Hall of Shame sites should serve as examples of designs
to avoid. In their email messages, students offer at least a paragraph or two
explaining why they nominated each site. In their explanations, students use
principles from the class readings to make their points. During class, we will
examine the sites nominated and (more importantly) the reasons for nominating
them, and then as a group, we will decide which sites will make the class Hall
of Fame & Shame for that week.
