This page is dedicated to what I call the 1st Generation of the Honda Accord (1976 - 1981). I personally have rebuilt and restored both a 1978 Honda Accord and a 1979 Honda Accord in the last three years. This has involved overhauling nearly every component in the car myself including the engine and the transmission. Above is a picture of the 1979 Honda Accord I worked on. This car belongs to a friend of mine.
My first car was a blue 1976 Honda Accord. I purchased it in 1987 for $1200. I sold this car in 1990 for ~$300 when I purchased an Acura Integra. I regret having sold this car, but at the time I had nowhere to store it properly.

I drive my 1978 Honda Accord LX (190,000+ miles) every day. I purchased this car with the odometer indicating 166,000 miles on 11/13/1993 for $300. The car had not run in the last several years. I had the car towed to my garage where the task of refurbishing the car began.
Thus far, I have restored portions of the interior by having the seats reupholstered and removing all of the interior trim for cleaning. In the future, I plan to have the exterior repainted and replace the dash board.
Above is a picture of me. I am holding a broken metal power steering hose. This hose broke during my first attempt at replacing a power steering rack, after 6 hours of labor. This hose was only available from my local dealer for about $200.
